			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The following <strong>Habit Poem</strong> is being posted for those of us who are sincere and serious about putting forth a real effort to improving ourselves and our lives in the up and coming <strong>New Year</strong>. Read it&#8230;.. and if it affects you as strongly as it did me the first time I read it, then continue reading the rest of this post for help in keeping your <strong>New Year&#8217;s resolutions</strong> this year. </p>
<p style="text-align:center;">I AM YOUR CONSTANT COMPANION</p>
<p style="text-align:center;">I AM YOUR GREATEST HELPER OR YOUR HEAVIEST BURDEN.</p>
<p style="text-align:center;">I WILL PUSH YOU ONWARD OR DRAG YOU DOWN TO FAILURE.</p>
<p style="text-align:center;">I AM COMPLETELY AT YOUR COMMAND.</p>
<p style="text-align:center;">HALF OF THE THINGS YOU DO YOU MAY AS  WELL TURN OVER TO ME AND I WILL DO THEM- QUICKLY AND CORRECTLY.</p>
<p style="text-align:center;">I AM EASILY MANAGED-YOU MUST BE FIRM WITH ME. SHOW ME EXACTLY HOW YOU WANT SOMETHING DONE AND AFTER A FEW LESSONS, I WILL DO IT AUTOMATICALLY.</p>
<p style="text-align:center;">I AM THE SERVANT OF GREAT PEOPLE, AND ALAS, OF ALL FAILURES AS WELL. THOSE WHO ARE GREAT, I HAVE MADE GREAT. THOSE WHO ARE FAILURES, I HAVE MADE FAILURES.</p>

<p style="text-align:center;">TAKE ME, TRAIN ME, BE FIRM WITH ME, AND I WILL PLACE THE WORLD AT YOUR FEET.</p>
<p style="text-align:center;">BE EASY WITH ME AND I WILL DESTROY YOU.</p>
<p style="text-align:center;">WHO AM I? I AM HABIT.</p>
<p>First and foremost, we are <strong>creatures of habit</strong>, and because of this, real change will only occur through developing new ,good, healthy positive <strong>habits</strong> and dumping those we know are negative, unproductive, destructive , and unhealthy.   </p>
<p>It&#8217;s that simple. Create a new positive <strong>habit</strong> and STOP an old negative unwanted <strong>habit</strong> through the process &#8220;of <strong>habit</strong>.&#8221;</p>
<p><em>Step one</em>: Read the Poem, Read it again, read it as many times as you have to understand the &#8221;POWER&#8221;  <strong>habit</strong> has over your life. Then print this <strong>Poem</strong> and place it somewhere you will see it often. placing it in several places is even better.</p>
<p><em>Step two</em>: Choose a very simple <strong>good habit</strong> that will improve your life and a very simple <strong>bad habit</strong> that will also improve your life if you got rid of it.</p>
<p>Ex. <strong>Good Habit</strong>, Do as many push ups as you can 5 times a day. Every time you see the <strong>poem</strong> drop and do 10, 20, 30, or however many push ups you can and do this for a month.   Ex. <strong>Bad Habit</strong>, Do not eat fast food.  Save your money, pack a lunch, or EAT NOTHING AT ALL, DRINK WATER AND STARVE BEFORE YOU EAT FAST FOOD.  Do that for a month.</p>
<p><em>Step Three</em>: Track your daily progress by writing on or below where you have posted your poem. Ex. First day, <strong>Good Habit</strong>&#8230;&#8230;10 push ups 5 times today =50 push ups today. You will be amazed how many you can do by the end of the first week let alone by the end of the month.</p>
<p>Ex. <strong>Bad Habit</strong>, Day one&#8230;I ate no fast food. If you can do this for a month, you will hate fast food by the time you eat it again. It tastes like crap and it will give you heartburn. Eat the apple, the banana and drink water.</p>
<p> These were the first two <strong>habits</strong> I did last year. I got up to 100 push ups five times a day in one month and I still do not eat fast food. Unfortunately I do not do 500 push ups per day but I can still drop and kick off 50 at any time and do so quite often and usually a few times a day. </p>
<p>Each month I add another <strong>good habit</strong> and lose another <strong>bad habit</strong>, and my life has improved significantly in those areas I have placed my efforts. I will continue with my efforts this year. There is no limit to self-improvement. You can use this three-step method for finances, personality flaws, spiritual strength, whatever you desire. <strong>Habit</strong> is the most powerful gift, or curse we have. We are <strong>creatures of habit</strong> with the power of free will. The power to choose each and every day to continue doing the wrong things that do nothing to make us better and stronger and brighter or we can choose to do what is good and righteous and improve our lives through well thought out and developed habits.</p>
<p>Never quit quitting the <strong>bad habits </strong>and never stop starting new <strong>good habits.</strong></p>
